Gorden Moyo wins MDC-T top post

Comment & Analysis
BY KHANYILE MLOTSHWA BULAWAYO — Parastatals and State Enterprises minister Gorden Moyo is the new MDC-T provincial chairman after he beat Mzilikazi senator Martson Hlalo in a hotly-contested election yesterday.

The party’s provincial organising secretary Doubt Nyoni said Moyo garnered 183 votes against Hlalo’s 172 votes.

In Masvingo Wilstaf Chitemere beat Bernard Chiondegwa to be elected MDC-T chairman for the province.

Chitemere polled 463 votes against Chiondegwa’s 403. The two, who belong to different camps, had been squabbling over the position after a disputed election was held last week.
