Sunday Social League curtains come down

Already crowned champions City Social round up the Sunday Social Soccer League season with a date against H.P.D this afternoon.

Social wrapped it up last week with a 2-1 win away to Niggaz and champagne bottles will be popped today as they collect their winners’ medals. A win for fourth placed H.P.D could make for interesting reading on the final outlook as they stand an outside chance to go second depending on results elsewhere between Zindoga and Betta XI

Social have 42 points, eight ahead of second placed Zindoga and even two wins for Zindoga in the weekend double headers coupled with Social losing won’t change the destiny of the title.

Zindoga engage resurgent Betta XI in another enticing duel and a win for Betta will be a welcome Christmas present as they have come out strongly in the later stages.

Both teams are separated by a point and still bubbling from impressive results last time out and this makes their battle for second spot more intriguing.

On the other end of the table, bruised Niggaz, who gave Social the title, entertain United with pride relatively on for grabs.

Today’s fixture
Betta X1 vs Zindoga @ Zimphose Sports Ground 3pm Sunday
H.P.D vs City Social @Zimbank Sports Club 3pm
Niggaz vs United  @ Belgravia Sports Club 1pm
