Will Pokello survive again?

Viewers of the Big Brother Africa (BBA) reality show are waiting with bated breath to see if Pokello Nare who is up for eviction for the fourth time this Sunday, will still have the support of Africa following her “derogatory” remarks about West Africa.

“F*** West Africans, those people are scattered all over. I don’t like them,” she said to Elikem soon after Hakeem was evicted from the game.

After last Sunday’s eviction, Pokello could hardly conceal her anger after her country housemate Hakeem was evicted. She accused West African contestants for regionalism by ganging up with their eastern counterparts to flush out contestants from southern Africa.

Her Facebook team was quick to come to her rescue and sent this message: “On behalf of Pokello we would like to apologise to Nigeria.

Pokello was emotional at the time and didn’t mean what she said. She was mourning about her countryman who left in an unexpected way,” reads part of a post on her BBA Facebook page, which attracted close to a thousand comments.

Ironically, besides Zimbabwe, it is West African countries like Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria that have been at the forefront of backing her.

The internet is awash with people stating they would not support her because of her bad mouth.

Last week she lost votes from Ghana and Nigeria because housemates from those countries were also up for eviction.
