Bosso have probably signed the host of the players that matter in the PSL and have made eight acquisitions to date, before the Zifa transfer window that closes next month.

Their latest is Warriors attacking midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi, who started training with Bosso on Thursday amid great excitement among Highlanders supporters who cannot wait to see him donning the black and white kit.

Today, assistant coach Mark Mathe takes the hot seat in the absence of Kelvin Kaindu, who on Thursday left for the United Kingdom, where he is undertaking a Uefa B Licensing course.

Mark Mathe said there was a likelihood of the new players being paraded this afternoon and he said he was confident Bosso would start the season on a winning note against a team that walloped them 4-0 in the final stages of the league when former assistant Bekithemba “Super” Ndlovu was in charge.

“We are looking for victory on Sunday [today]. It will be good to start the season on a positive note. Pressure! Football is a pressure game and those are the hazards of the game. If the new players are selected and there are no injuries, you are most likely to see them in the team,” Mathe said.

Harare City, one of the country’s financially sound football teams, troop down to Bulawayo meaning business as they have also signed eight players for the 2014 season.

Among their new signings is Francisco Zekumbawira, who single-handedly demolished Dynamos when Hwange beat the Harare side 2-0 in the Bob88 Super Cup semi-final at BF in 2012.

Zekumbawira went on to join DeMbare last year but was hard done by injury only to be shown the exit door midway through the season.

“Our preparations have been going well and we are really looking forward to playing Highlanders on Sunday. This is a big competition and we are likely to field some of our new players. At the moment I cannot however say who will be in the team,” head coach Bigboy Mawiwi said.

The Sunshine City boys have also grabbed Misheck Mburayi, Takudzwa Chimwemwe, Agrippa Muripa, Timire Mamvura, Mhleli Sibanda, Benson Maglasi and Arnold Chiveya.

The winner between the two sides this afternoon will clash with Dynamos in the final as the Harare giants got a bye in the draw. The final will be played on February 23.
