HARARE City turned on the power to dispatch a hapless Triangle in a one-sided Chibuku Super Cup quarterfinal encounter at the National Sports Stadium Saturday evening.

A late five-minute hat trick by man of the match William Manondo added to Osborne Mukuradare’s double to put a gloss on a win Taurai Mangwiro’s men thoroughly deserved.
Mukuradare opened the flood gates in the 21st minute when he got to the end of Talent Chawapiwa’s invited cross finishing with a thumping header that left Ashley Reyners in goals for Triangle bemused.
Triangle piled the pressure early in the second-half, but it was Mukuradare who extended the Harare City’s lead after he pounced on to a Manondo through ball on a counter to score for the second time in a match played under floodlights.
With Harare City seemingly cruising to a comfortable win, Manondo joined the party with a deserved three-goal blitz in the pace of five minutes late in the match.
First he took advantage of a hesitant defending in the Triangle box to slide his first goal under Reyners in the 80th minute.
Two minutes later, he rose majestically to glance a Gilroy Chimwemwe corner kick into an empty net before he completed his hattrick with a stunner into the top right hand corner of Reyners’ goal in the 85th minute to cap a fine performance.
Triangle coach Kelvin Kaindu blamed his players’ body language after conceding the second goal while Mangwiro was a happy man.
