The album titled, Mudhara Vachauya — Jah Prayzah’s seventh — will be launched in Harare and Bulawayo on August 12 and 13 respectively.
The Bulawayo launch is set for the Large City Hall while the Harare launch will be held at Harare International Conference Centre. Both shows kick off at 7pm.
Bulawayo’s award-winning rapper Cal_Vin will represent his city at the Bulawayo launch with his killer rhymes that shot him to stardom.
“It’s a great feeling performing alongside stars like Jah Prayzah and being recognised at such a mega launch,” said Cal_Vin.
“I am going to give my all and raise the Bulawayo and hip-hop flag high.”
The Jerusalem hitmaker’s manager Keen Mushapaidze said there was need for the album to be launched in the City of Kings.
“We realised the amount of support we get in Bulawayo whenever we hold shows,” Mushapaidze said.
“Bulawayo is our second home and we are taking the album to Bulawayo 24 hours after the Harare launch for our fans.
“We are putting everything to Bulawayo, at least five buses and a convoy of 200 cars on the road trip and we will stop over in Chegutu, Kadoma, Kwekwe and Gweru, meeting fans and promoting the album. We want fans to join in the trip to Bulawayo, we should go in numbers.”
Mushapaidze revealed that the album was different from previous projects.
“This album is different from the previous ones. It has something new for everyone and a modern feel to cater for all markets since music is now global,” he said.
“The album focuses on partying, love, having fun and appreciating life. It’s all about good vibes.”
Lucrative prizes are set to be won by fans on the road to Bulawayo and during the Bulawayo launch.
