Prophet Mawoyo plans 2019 gospel crusades

By Stephen Chadenga

Harare-based apostle and founder of Christ in Action International, Prophet Trevor Mawoyo, who made headlines after claiming to restore sight, has lined up crusades for the whole year that will see him preaching and healing people.

Mawoyo said the economic hardships being faced by the majority of the people had resulted in them needing the “hand of God more during these trying times”.

“I have lined up crusades for this year and the first one began last week,” Mawoyo said.

“The sick, visually impaired and those with disabilities are going to be healed. We are also going to pray for the nation given these trying economic times that have seen many people become hopeless.”

Mawoyo said when people are troubled, the devil takes advantage and inflicts diseases and other misfortunes on them.

He, however, said the power of God would prevail over all evil spirits and urged people from across the country to come to the prophetic services to receive deliverance.

Last year thousands of people from across Zimbabwe thronged Old Highfield for an apostolic, prophetic and miraculous service where the man of the cloth used annointing oil to heal people.

Mawoyo said working for God was a humbling experience and thanked the Almighty for the gift He gave him to help people.

Two years ago, Mawoyo wooed multitudes from different religions in India where he was the guest speaker at a crusade organised by more than 50 churches in the Asian country.

He has also been to China and Hong Kong, where he said he held successful crusades.
