GWERU-based celebrity prophet, Luke Chivasa, is set to build a state-of-the-art 10 000-seater church in the city.
Located in the low-density surbub of Southview, the construction work has already begun with a lot of activity taking place at the site.
Recently, the Miracle Church of All Nations (MMCN) founder confirmed the developments, saying that he signed a contract with a Harare-based construction
“I see the hand of God in this construction project because it was not easy at first,” Prophet Chivasa told Standard Style.
“As a church, we have signed a contract with a reputable construction company from Harare and work is already progressing well.
“We have to continue praying for this construction project so that God guides us till the church is commissioned come July.”
MMCN is headquartered in Gweru and has been in existence for the past six years.
Chivasa is one of the many local prophets who constantly visit Synagogue Church of All Nations in Nigeria and draw inspiration from the famous televangelist
and philanthropist Temitope Balogun Joshua, commonly referred to as TB Joshua.
In 2013 during a Sunday service, Chivasa reportedly declared that there “shall be a sign of blessing upon the congregants”. After his statement, the floor was allegedly filled with gold dust.
