STRIKER Nyasha Chintuli scored on his return to Baobab Stadium to help his new club Manica Diamonds pick a point against Yadah Stars to remain top of the Premier League log standings.

Chintuli, who moved to Manica Diamonds last month from Ngezi Platinum Stars, beat an offside trap early in the second half to equalize for his side.

The goal was his fifth goal of the season, and four of those were scored during his time in Mhondoro Ngezi.

Yadah dominated the first half against a side ,who appeared to be suffering a hangover from their 6-2 win over Caps United last week.

The Miracle Boys should have hit the front early on after they were awarded a penalty kick for a foul on Kudakwashe Mangami.

Skipper Godknows Mangani stepped up, but his effort was saved. Their dominance paid off when Mangami scored the opener. The Genesis Mangombe coached side had the lion share of possession in that first half and should have been out of sight by the time the halftime sounded, but missed a flurry of chances. They regretted it in the end.

The second half was a balanced affair, with both sides creating at least three decent chances each, and it was Manica Diamonds who capitalized once.

But it is Yadah who were the most disappointed of the two in the end, as they again missed a good chance to record their first win of the season. They are arguably one of the most entertaining teams in the league with their short intricate passing game, but it has counted for nothing so far.
